William Marshal Day - 13th April 2019
Usk Castle Friends have organised a 'William Marshal' day on Saturday 13th April 2019, taking place in Usk Memorial Hall and commencing at 10am. The programme includes several lectures and a guided tour of the castle. Tickets are £5 (students £3) and can be obtained from Barry Morse. Further information can be found in the flyer below:


Neath Abbey Ironworks Dig - 22nd-26th April 2019
The Friends of Neath Abbey Ironworks and Glamorgan-Gwent Archaeological Trust are organising an archaeological dig at the site. The excavation will commence on Monday 22nd April (Easter Bank Holiday Monday) for 5 days until Friday 26th April. You are invited to visit and view the dig between 8.30am and 4.30pm on any day. This is the first time the the Ironworks has undergone archaeological investigation.

Ruperra Castle Preservation Trust Talk - 28th April 2019
The Ruperra Castle Preservation Trust are hosting a talk by Dr. Elaine Davy on the Welsh Historic Gardens Trust on Sunday 28th April 2019. The event takes place in Rudry Parish Hall and commences at 2pm. Tickets are £5 and refreshments are included. For further details - see the flyer below:


Prof. Alice Roberts at Taliesin Live, Swansea - 16th October 2019

Anthropologist, broadcaster and author Professor Alice Roberts will be speaking at Taliesin Arts Centre in Swansea on Wednesday 16th October.
